Ingrown hairs, also known as razor bumps, are unsightly and painful. Both men and women, especially those from African descent suffer from this condition. Ingrown hair can occur on face, neck, underarms, Bikini and even lower legs.
Close shaving, waxing, plucking and tweezing aggravates the condition and makes it worse. An Ingrown hair is the hair that instead of growing straight out of the follicle to the outer skin, curls into the side wall of the hair follicle. This causes inflammation, pimples and cysts. Even when the pimple and/or a cyst heal, the skin gets scarred.
There are lot of lotions and ways to remove hair out of the skin but these are only temporary methods.
Nothing gives permanent relief from the ingrown hair except Laser treatment. The only laser technology that can successfully, permanently and safely get rid of ingrown hair is Nd:YAG laser technology.
In our clinic we have successfully treated clients with severe ingrown hairs within four to six sessions. We have noted that the scarring caused by those ingrown hairs has faded leaving the skin smooth and even-toned. Because this condition is commonly found amongst brown and dark skinned people, Nd:YAG laser technology is the only viable option.
